The Microsoft Word toolkit for Arcade connects LLMs to Microsoft Word via OneDrive/Microsoft Graph, enabling programmatic document creation, reading, and editing through OAuth-authenticated API calls.
Capabilities
- Document creation: Create new
.docxfiles in OneDrive with optional initial text content (4 MB upload limit). - Document reading: Retrieve document metadata and/or full content; content is returned as Markdown by default; metadata-only mode is available.
- Document editing: Append text to the end of existing
.docxfiles (4 MB limit). - User context: Fetch information about the authenticated user and their Microsoft Word/OneDrive environment.
OAuth
This toolkit uses OAuth 2.0 with Microsoft as the identity and resource provider. Arcade handles the OAuth flow automatically.
