The Asana toolkit lets LLMs interact with Asana via Arcade, enabling task management, project discovery, and team/workspace operations through 19 tools.
Capabilities
- Task lifecycle — create, retrieve, update, complete, and search tasks; fetch subtasks; attach files (text, binary, or URL-hosted) to tasks
- Project & tag management — list and retrieve projects and tags by ID; create new tags in a workspace
- Team & user access — list all teams or only teams the authenticated user belongs to; retrieve individual teams and users by ID
- Workspace & org discovery — list and retrieve workspaces visible to the authenticated user; auto-associate tasks to a workspace when only one exists
- Flexible file attachment — attach files via raw string (text), base64 (binary), or external URL; exactly one source must be supplied per request
OAuth
This toolkit uses OAuth 2.0 with Asana as the identity provider. See the Arcade Asana auth provider docs for setup details.
